Mary Eisenband from New Jersey won “$500 a Week for Life” game, after buying the lucky lottery ticket North Carolina.

The 82-year-old woman from Poland, who immigrated to New Jersey back in 1963 and opened a sandwich shop, said she enjoys a lot buying lottery tickets. She didn’t play any mobile slots, but just bought another lotto ticket in North Carolina last November when she was traveling to visit to family in Georgia.

This simple action made her the winner in North Carolina’s “$500 a Week for Life” game. She decided to take the whole sum payout which was $244,968 after state and federal taxes were taken away. She opted for this choice instead of collecting $26,000 a year for life.

Mary commented on the impressive gambling news: “This is more money than I have ever seen in my entire life. I play the lottery these days because it’s fun for me. I play everywhere I go and I enjoy it. To win like this feels so wonderful. I still don’t believe it.”

Her current plans are to go on vacation: “I might go to Florida and stay in a fancy hotel.” She is thinking to share the rest with her family and put some in the bank.
