lost-money…too late…

A lottery winner from Fife, Scotland missed their chance to become a millionaire after failing to collect the prize within the allowed time frame.
This gambling news was announced by the National Lottery spokesman: “Unfortunately, I can confirm that the ticketholder did not come forward within the deadline to claim their prize and has now sadly missed out on this substantial amount of money.”

He added: “To avoid this unfortunate situation happening again, I would urge all National Lottery players to check their tickets on a regular basis. We tried very hard to find the ticketholder and it’s a real shame that they have missed out, but there is still one winner – the nation.”

The money will be used for good causes

The unclaimed money was passed to the National Lottery Good Causes, along with the interest acquired, after the winner failed to come before the deadline.

The National Lottery uses the smart strategy of putting all unclaimed prizes in a fund which supports different projects in the county. The unclaimed prize from Fife will be added to the GBP 31 billion that is already raised by National Lottery players since 1994. Currently, more than 420,000 projects in arts, sports, charities, education, heritage, health and environment were funded by this initiative.
