A new mobile betting application is being considered by the owner of The Score TV network which publicizes sports scores, game highlights, and sporadic live competitions.

Next week, John Levy, Score TV chairman and CEO is flying to England for a gambling industry conference. There, Levy intends to discuss the potential for a mobile betting application. He will also rendezvous with prospective sales advisors and sales staff.

Discussing the possibilities of a mobile gambling application and likely advertisers, Levy stated “If we can talk to people there and say ‘we have a million users of our mobile app here in your country,’ that’s something they can take seriously.”

Use of the Score TV gambling application would be restricted to people located where sports betting is lawful. As many regions are dropping their legal prohibitions, Chetan Sharma, Seatle-based mobile industry strategist, sees mobile gambling as a “sweet spot”. She declared “I think it’s inevitable that we’ll see more and more of it.”

The Score TV has already created applications for the RIM BlackBerry smartphone, the Apple iPhone smartphone, and the Apple iPad tablet computer. Although these applications currently enable neither Blackberry gambling, iPhone gambling, nor iPad gambling respectively, all of these apps are becoming popular. Now the owner is looking for methods to profit from this growth.

The Score TV Network will also be strengthening its international advertising sales force. Moreover the Score TV has a 20% stake in NuLayer, developer of web and mobile applications, which will support their push into web-enabled television with Samsung Smart TVs.
