Mobile casino software can soon check the punters’ pulse, read their mood.

Technological progress has the potential to make mobile gaming much more interactive, according to latest reports on smartphone development.

With the advent of applications that can read the smallest, even involuntary changes in a user’s facial expressions, a whole host of information will soon be available to feed into newly developed mobile casino software.

The newest addition to these amazing technologies is Fujitsu’s mobile application that uses the camera on the smartphone to analyze changes in blood flow and take a visual pulse reading.

According to the company “even at a busy workplace, or any time a person is sitting in front of a PC, whether for teleconferencing or writing e-mails, [a person’s] pulse can be measured during brief moments of quiet,” said Fujitsu in the press release.

Presumably this is also applicable to those times when the slot is spinning or when an online casino player is going through their blackjack strategy in their head.

Programmers have nearly unlimited potential in applying the new technology towards enhancing the gambling experience. For instance a game’s music may change to reflect the player’s mood or a health warning may flash across the screen in case of dangerously high blood pressure levels.

Players whose pulse rate and frowns indicate difficulties in mastering a particular game may even be offered alternatives by their mobile casino, while those who display the physical signs of boredom could also be invited to play a different game.

As such “face reading” technologies become gradually available, incorporating them into classic mobile casino games or social gambling has the potential to change the Android and iPhone gambling experience rather radically.
